Winemaking: Manual harvesting. They were cooled in a cool room at 14°C for 12 hours. Undisturbed, they were crushed. Fermentation took place over 3 days while the grapes were regularly treaded. Then aged for 2 years in barrel.
Grapes: Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca,Sousão,Old Vines
Tasting Notes: Intense ruby color with purplish tones and aromas composed of wild fruits and plum, combined with spicy aromas. In the mouth it is silky and powerful, with rich and well-balanced tannins, holding the promise of excellent aging. Finishes fine and elegant.
Storage and serving advice: Store horizontally at ± 15º C, constant temperature. Best served at 15 – 18ºC.
Food Pairing: Excellent to accompany spicy cow’s cheese or sheep’s cheese or ice cream, or on its own as a digestif.
